Enjoy Autumn leaves in Kōyasan! Part1 ~Daimon, Danjōgaran, Kongōbuji~
Go on a sensory and spiritual experience as you head to Mount Koya (Kōyasan), one of Japan’s holiest places. It is a mountain range full of temples and monasteries making it a top destination for pilgrimage visited by millions of people every year.
We start walking from Daimon (Great Gate), the entrance of Koyasan sacred area.
One of the notable places to see is the Kongōbu-ji, the headquarters of the Shingon sect of Buddhism. Another unique stop is at the Danjō-garan, regarded as the sacred core of the Kōyasan.
The autumn leaves add to the majesty of the places that you will encounter as you visit this sacred site.
