Witness the New Year Sunrise from the Land of Rising Sun!
How are you spending the New Year in your part of the world? As the turbulent 2020 draws to a close, join us in welcoming the new year with a special viewing of the first dawn and sunrise of 2021 from a mountain.
Japan is also known as Nippon, which translates to where the sun rises, so you will be one of the first people to see the break of dawn and watch the sunrise.
To better capture this special moment, we will be taking an early morning cable car ride to the Mt. Futatabi (Mt. Rokko range) taking the Kobe Nunobiki Ropeway. This will give you the great views of the first sunrise of 2021. The ropeway also offers a fantastic vantage point to see other landmarks including the Nunobiki Reservoir and the Nunobiki Herb Garden. The best part is arriving at the observation deck where you can experience breathtaking views of the city of Kobe and the Seto Inland Sea.
